Kaikorai Cricket Club

The Kaikorai Cricket Club was formed in 1922 and in the 84 years since forming, the club has contributed to both Otago and New Zealand Cricket. Representative players included great cricketers such as Burt Sutcliffe, Bryan Andrews, Bevan Congdon and Lance Cairns. Prominent overseas players have also based themselves at Kaikorai including Neil Mallender who played for 10 seasons during the 80s and early 90s.
The club is situated at the Bishopscourt ground in Lynn Street, Maori Hill. Bishopscourt is a large flat sand-based ground with two grass pitches and a four-pitch net training facility.

The clubrooms are home to both the cricket and rugby clubs and provide a great atmosphere for after-match and other social functions. A full bar operates in the clubrooms.

Kaikorai have teams in senior, second and third grades and this means that there are opportunities for players of any ability from the serious to the social. We endeavour to provide an atmosphere where players can enjoy cricket at any level.
