Businesses & Amenities listed by type

Some of the Roslyn & Kaikorai businesses.

For the size of the Roslyn Borough, including Kaikorai and the 'valley', there was an abundance of businesses and services available. The community was well provided with shops and other businesses within walking distance. The following is a brief record of some of the various businesses that operated in the Kaikorai and Roslyn area over the years. It is by no means complete but will be added to as information comes to hand.

Shop locations as listed may appear to have moved over the years, but, in Roslyn the street names actually changed more than once, or to be more correct the actual section of Roslyn shopping area where City Road, Highgate and Taieri Road crossed was re-designated as to the street name allocated to the shopping area.
See more clearly on Roslyn Shopping Area Changes (two sketch plans).
